We are here to help free your business from the huge burden that today’s legislation brings to General Practice, including the new CQC legislation and registration and CQC compliance.
The aim of our company is to provide a bespoke “hand holding” service for GP practices to help them achieve CQC registration and compliance.
Due to recent announcements by the CQC , it is currently unclear what the exact CQC requirements will be for General Practice. GP practices are currently being advised not to use third party suppliers at this point in time, and even advised not to do any preparatory work towards CQC compliance.
As a result of this, we feel it would be unethical of us to undertake work for General Practices helping them on their journey towards CQC compliance at the current time, as it is possible the requirements could be greatly simplified, which will impact on the fees we charge.
Please check back on our site for updated advice when further announcements have been made by the Department of Health and the CQC.
If you wish to speak to us regarding this or wish to speak to any of our team regarding any other aspect of our bespoke hand holding service, please contact us.
Today’s businesses are tied up so tightly with red tape and legislation that they feel stifled, resulting in businesses finding it increasingly difficult to perform to their maximum potential. All too often General Practice employees have their time taken up by jumping through legislative hoops producing protocols, audits and reports when they were actually employed to grow and support the extended services that practices offer to patients. Sound familiar?
LPCMSL will help your business regain some of its valuable time by working with you to produce your legislative paperwork, freeing up your employees to work on more strategic, productive work.
We will work hand-in-hand with you to tailor our service to your unique business, to ensure that the end result is specifically suited to you.
Section 20 of The Health and Social Care Act 2008
The above piece of legislation requires all providers of NHS primary medical services to register with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) by 1st April 2012 and show that they are meeting essential standards of quality and safety. There are 28 Essential Standards of Quality and Safety. The CQC focus on 16 core standards, which are used to demonstrate compliance and relate directly to quality and safety of care. The remaining 12 essential standards relate to the daily management of the service and will be checked by the CQC regulators, should concerns be raised.
We understand general practice and appreciate how precious time is. Depending on how robust your practice policies and procedures are will indicate to us where you are on your CQC journey. The CQC registration is not an option and penalties for non-compliance could be significant and financial. Without help practices will need to put in significant amounts of time, effort and additional resources to prepare for CQC compliance. Strain on existing practice resources and goodwill could be considerable.
By utilising our CQC service, you will be ensuring your precious resources are directed to where they are needed most and the end result is less cost to your business as your workforce are back doing what they were employed to do in the first place. By doing the work for you, rather than just providing you with a pack and expecting you to do the work yourselves, we will be releasing you from the extra burdens the CQC legislation has created. From your part, you will need to provide us with your own policies, which we will then adapt and check to ensure they comply with the new regulations. You will need to then use our training plans with your staff and embed the learning this provides throughout your team and your business. We will also provide you with patient questionnaires which you can use to prove many of the outcomes needed throughout the various modules of the CQC regulations.
Our service is a bespoke, hand-holding service, not just a 'here is a pack of information and protocols, get on with it' type of package. This is reflected in our pricing but will also be reflected in the amount of time and effort saved by you and your staff to achieve the end result compared to if you were doing the work with just an 'off the peg' package or on your own.
